6 signs your Ragdoll loves you

These little everyday gestures speak volumes

The Ragdoll is a breed deeply attached to its humans. It does not meow much, but it talks to you in other ways — through its posture, its gaze, its presence. Here are six signs that never lie.

Little gifts

A ball, a toy dropped at your feet… your cat is sharing what it holds precious. In felines, offering “prey” is a mark of trust and attachment, inherited from group living.

Head bumps

When it rubs its head or cheeks against you, your Ragdoll is depositing its pheromones: it is marking you as its own. It is its way of saying you belong to its emotional territory.

3Aranel asleep against her owner’s arm

It sleeps close to you

A cat only falls deeply asleep where it feels safe. If it chooses your presence — your lap, your pillow, the crook of your arm — that is a true declaration of trust.

4Aranel lying down, soft gaze, eyelids half closed

The slow blink

That gentle blink, eyelids half closed, is the “cat kiss”. It is a calming signal that means “I trust you”. Return it: your cat will understand.

It shows its belly

Lying on its back, belly offered, exposes the body’s most vulnerable zone. A cat that adopts this posture near you feels perfectly safe and relaxed.

6Aranel settled on the desk, one paw on the keyboard

It follows you everywhere

The Ragdoll is famously a “puppy cat”: it accompanies you from room to room, settles where you are and wants a part in your daily life. Your presence, quite simply, is enough for it.

So many proofs of trust and love
